Pause Fellowship is a two year learning journey where you’d be living in a Natural sustainable farm while parallel working on a new Natural Learning Primary School. This is an opportunity to take a deep break from the mainstream or regular modern life and to work on oneself while also being part of meaningful contribution to community.

You’ll be part of research, designing and execution of upcoming new learning space while parallelly working on land, growing your own food, living with community, be part of events and celebrations. There is no rigid structure, it will evolve as we work together.

While we do not have a rigid philosophy that we will stick to , the core intention is to have a balanced practical approach to learning and focus on well being of children and the educator alike. Our key inspiration is from work and research done by Existential Knowledge Foundation (Jinak KB and Ranjana Baji). We also are touched by insights offered by Rudolf Stiener, Osho, Jiddu Krishnamurti and Sri Aurobindo. Having said that, philosophies do not really create schools, it’s the people involved who do which is why our focus will remain on inner collective work on the team involved.

We have basic sharing accommodations and simple farm grown vegetarian food. We all take care of spaces and food together with some help available from our farm help family. We try to offer a comfortable space for everyone based on their needs and limitations but definitely living close to land involves its own joys and challenges that one needs to be prepared for.

While food and stay is taken care as part of fellowship , we also undestand that one may still have some more basic needs such as travel, basic purchases, mobile recharges etc. Thus , to cover the same we will be offering some basic stipend to those in need. The exact amount will be decided after discovering the needs of the fellow. We are hoping that the usual range is between 5K to 15K.

Absolutely, the team together can decide the absence and presence as long the work is not affected. This will be flexible based on collective understanding.

This kind of work requires a deeper commitment and hence the minimum duration to be able to implement our research and see the difference is 3 years. Thus one year is already the minimum commitment. Though it is possible to join a little later in case of prior commitments.

We follow informal mode of selection which would involve a Fellow meet which will happen at our February event on Learning and Education. We come together, we discuss and together we decide what’s the go ahead for us.
